Is it normal to have bad breath?

I Always have bad breath, no matter what I do. I brush my teeth everyday. I use mouth rinse everyday. I even bought a tongue scrubber thingy that hasn't helped my situation at all. Also, I have noticed that my tongue is not really pink... it is kinda whitish. It is like having morning breath all the time, no matter what I do. I'm afraid to talk to people, while standing close to them.I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Please comment and tell me what to do to fix this.

I once had this problem. It was due to food getting caught in my tonsils. YUCK! Do you have your tonsils still? This could be the problem. I'm sure that a Doctor could help you figure out what's causing it.

Bad breath could be a problem with your digestive system as well so check that out.

I'm a dental hygienist. It could be thrush if the white stuff does not scrape off your tounge. But brushing including the tounge, flossing, and using mouth rinse 2x/daily should cure it or you need to see a dentist.

I'm a nurse and bad breath can indicate certain medical conditions or be from medications or supplements. However the first thing you should do is start flossing regularly. Bacteria that cause bad breath can live in the spaces between teeth. Try flossing & see if it clears up.

I'm a nurse...it sounds to me as though you have a fairly common condition called "Thrush". Very easy to fix, your dentist or primary care physician can simply prescribe you a specially medicated swish and spit rinse. Good luck :)
