Is it normal to have awkwardness in coversations with my boyfriend?

My boyfriend and I are very busy, so the little time we have, we spend it together. Although, whenever we talk it's so awkward. It's like we never have anything to talk about in person, but when we talk over text, our conversations are often deep and/or intriguing. I'm also not typically shy around people (though I used to be so shy that I hid behind my mother from my friends as a child), but when I'm with my boyfriend I'm very shy and quiet. Is this awkwardness and my shyness around him normal for a relationship?

    Comfort and ease around one another is an essential part of a successful relationship.
    Need to work on that OP, ponder whether he is the right person and if not find he whom you will feel not awkward around.

    It's normal! Use to happen to me!! Dont sweat it. Stop thinking so hard on what to talk about!!! That's why this is killing the relationship between you guys. Just dont think. Conversations come out naturally. I dont know about if deep talks can come out naturally though. It doesn't come out naturally for me.
