Is it normal to have an online "friend" as a sibling?
I started chatting with this 14 year old girl (she's my friends cousin) And we started talking about our lives etc. (I'm 20) I told her how my relationship with my Dad and Mum is, and also that I have no siblings, as sort of a joke.
And now I feel that she's actually a sister, and she thinks of me as a brother. I do have strong feelings for her as a sister, like. If she's got problem sleeping, or had bad dreams, I can talk to her on Skype and comfort her, and tell her its just a dream, or if she's being bullied at school, ill support her, and just be there as a person she can talk to.
Her Mother knows that she's talking to me, and she thinks its OK cos I know her cousin, also, I'm not a creeper. But I've never had any Siblings, so I dunno what its OK for someone in my position to say to her.. She always says "I love you" like she does to all her friends, but for me that word means a lot more, And I've never said to her for that reason. I guess my question is... Is it Normal to just care for people you haven't really met? Also, any hints on what I can say back instead of "I love you"? as she asks me if she's done something wrong for me not to say it back.
I'm not in love with her, and I don't want comments about biblical stuff on how I'm doing something wrong please.
