Is it normal to have an obsession for another culture?

There's a shitload of people obsessed with anything Japanese, so yes, it's normal.

Its normal. I really like the Asian culture and plan to learn and study abroad in Japan.

Most countries have a lower crime rate than the US does unless it's in a civil war (probably propagated by the US). Latin American countries score the highest on the happiness index. I say go for it

Egyptian background, germany, middle eastern countries, Japan, russia all interest me a lot

I think it can be normal, different cultures are exotic to us and it can be exciting to learn about. I wonder sometimes how I am perceived, being American. This is negative but I feel like people from countries I am really interested in might ridicule me... o.O I'm not entirely sure why.

I've always been pulled towards east/southeast asian cultures in general (not just Japanese like a lot of people). They seem so exotic and interesting and their cities look beautiful from an aerial view.

Also because of my background in Spanish language, I've really come to appreciate Latin American and Spanish culture. In my opinion these cultures have the most beautiful people, excellent food, and an amazing language.

I have a new found obsession with cultures. I'm trying to learn Tagalog and I want to learn German, Spanish, and Mandarin. :D

Same here!! Spanish language just sounds so sexy, I've been learning it for 4 years now :D
