Is it normal to have an argument with a sleeping person?

Last night, i had an argument with my wife. We were upset with each other for a few hours. Just disagreeing on things. Not a constant argument, but most of the time she was around me. So about 11:30 i had fallin asleep on the couch. She comes out and wakes me up, askes why I'm sleeping on the couch. I said, bc you told me to. She had no clue what I i was talking about. Turns out, she does not remember any of the arguement. She was asleep the whole time. She was sleep walking Thinking back, even the cat was weirded out. She was talking to the cat, walking around the apartment. Doing normal things. Oh and sitting in a chair near me, just staring at me. It makes sense now why the long stares. Lol. It was a very strange night. Anyone else have sleep arguments?

Does she take ambien or lunesta or some other sleep aid? That's been known to happen with those meds.

Haha! My husband talks in his sleep all the time. One night he put his arm around me and said " I love you so much. If you want anything just tell me and I'll get it for you." but then the next day he didn't remember saying it. I was flattered nonetheless :)

I also have an aunt that will tell her secrets when she is sleeping. Anything my uncle asks, she'll tell him. They will have full conversations with her sleeping, and she doesn't have a clue.

As a teen I had an argument with my father while I was asleep. Apparently I was out raged because he wouldn't tell me what time to set the alarm for. Poor man was clueless.

It's normal for people to do weird things when it comes to sleep (if that makes sense). I wouldn't worry too much about it, just keep it in mind for the future, and try to be accommodating.

It's normal. My mom fed the cat in her sleep once.

Reminds me of a time last year. I phoned a friend, she picked up and we talked normally for a few minutes (she seemed coherent and all)..and in like 2 hours she didn't remember any of it :D

Dude, I've totally had sex in my sleep. People do all kinds of weird shit. I've woken up and freaked out because my boyfriend had left and the inside lock was locked... And when I was in high school, I used to close my bedroom door every night, then my stepdad would close it when he woke up, and when I got up, my door was still open. Crazy crazy. Haha

I've done similar things. I go for midnight munchies, sleep with my eyes opened, have full blown sleep conversations, take huffs- all of this according to my partner. Sometimes I find it very hard to believe the things I get up to!

That reminds me of this one time not too long ago. My husband sat up in the middle of the night, eyes wide open, and just grabbed the back of my head and brought my face to his and just kissed me. Then he layed right back down and kept on sleeping. I told him about it in the morning and he was super weirded out, but I thought it was cute that he wanted me even in his sleep haha

The same thing with me, my partner tells me I walk outside unclothed to have a smoke, I get up and talk to objects or I get up and just stare at him and say nothing and after all this just return to bed like nothing happened!

This kinda made my day! I sleep walk and talk but I'm sure I've never argued coherently in my sleep.

Even the cat was weirded out. Normal or not, it amused me.
