Is it normal to have an "alternate me" inside your mind?

When I rest, I do nothing, I can't think about anything else to think except the alternated me. My alternate me on my mind has an alternate appearance, attitude, likes, and yeah, very different from the real me. What makes me think of that?

I have 'the me I'd like to be' living in my head which tells the real me what to say to sound the right way and get the desired results. It's called role-play.

My real me hasn't got a clue about nothing! hahaha :)))

Oh my yes. The committee in my head can get quite loud. I would love to have the assertive one come out and play sometimes.

It's normal. I have an "alternate me" inside my mind as well. She is more charismatic, outgoing and emotionally expressive than I am in reality. Oh and she's a crossdresser too. :)

i do have someone in my head, but i don't consider them to me an alternate me. i do talk to her all tje time though. her name is twila

she's also not the polar opposite of me, but she is more optimistic than me and is a lot more organized and punctual. her personality is closer to my younger self.

Your question confuses the hell out of me.I dont know the other you,so how can I have an alternate you in my mind, or did you mean "Is it normal to have an alternate me in my mind"? Just a minute I'll get a couple good minds on this right away to help figure it out.

My "alternate me" is a lot more daring, independent, outgoing, meaner, and much less polite than my "actual me." Honestly, she's a total bitch. I try to keep her under rein as much as possible.

I have contradicting personalitys to..i use to box..one is names carlos, hes very oprrtunistic, aggressive, manipulative, and vigilant,nd has an annoying laugh, hes caught people in lies when they slip up from their story..surprisingly he has no pity nd no shame.

Now juan is more shy, extremely anti social, but yet funny, thoughtfull,nd even responsible..

Usually people do this as a way for your mind to have your subconscious present in your life without you being aware of it. Since your mind is more receptive to other people, it characterizes your subconscious as another person, usually the opposite of you, as it isn't your conscious self.

I spend a lot of time bored out of my skull, so I imagine things. A lot of the time they involve the same characters.

Erik is very cynical, Tom is blindly optimistic, Jim follows a simplistic thought process, but is firm in his beliefs, Dave is a slippery, manipulative conman, and Greg is just a whiny narcissistic asshole.

Conversation usually begin with Greg complaining about something, Erik rolling his eyes, Tom attempting to cheer him up, and I ad-lib from there.

I've occasionally transcribed the debates as I am imagining them, and it astounds me how detailed they are for figments of my imagination.

Maybe you have conflicting issues about yourself. Perfectly normal by the way, I have conflicting thoughts all the time. Its like there is a political debate in my head all the time, and sometimes it turns into a fight.
