Is it normal to have a violent reaction to an electric toothbrush?

I won a very fancy Philips Sonicare electric toothbrush in a raffle drawing, but every time I use it, I feel quite poorly. First my nose itches and starts to run, then I start to sneeze violently, and I finish with a strong head to toe body shake (kind of like when a dog gets out of the water) accompanied by a deep, shivering chill. I never have a problem with my manual toothbrush, and lower-caliber electric toothbrushes only make my nose itch a little. But these fancy rocket blasters make my whole body react violently!
