Is it normal to have a violent disrespect for authority?
The older I get it seems the more rebellious I'm becoming. I don't really know when it started. It seems I've always had a problem with authority figures who abuse their power in any way. I probably have some kind of inferiority complex, but I just can't stand when someone behaves condescendingly or holier-than-thou toward me. The reason I don't see this as normal behaviour for me is that I'm not usually a violent person. The only two times I've ever punched someone was when I felt that they were belittling and disrespecting me. The violent urge to hurt them came out of nowhere, and it was a really unfamiliar feeling for me. Is it normal that the one thing that can get me to lose my cool is someone with power who uses it to make me feel small?

Do you guys have any problem with teachers, police, or parents that try to bully you and abuse their "power"?
