Is it normal to have a violent disrespect for authority?

The older I get it seems the more rebellious I'm becoming. I don't really know when it started. It seems I've always had a problem with authority figures who abuse their power in any way. I probably have some kind of inferiority complex, but I just can't stand when someone behaves condescendingly or holier-than-thou toward me. The reason I don't see this as normal behaviour for me is that I'm not usually a violent person. The only two times I've ever punched someone was when I felt that they were belittling and disrespecting me. The violent urge to hurt them came out of nowhere, and it was a really unfamiliar feeling for me. Is it normal that the one thing that can get me to lose my cool is someone with power who uses it to make me feel small?

Do you guys have any problem with teachers, police, or parents that try to bully you and abuse their "power"?

Yeah, it's normal. When I see signs such as "no food or drink in the building" i do it anyway. I think "F*CK YOU I'm gonna eat and drink when I want to"

Just say no, I think that they'll understand why you feel that way. And don't be naughty

Not violent, but the idea of authority doesn't appeal to me. I very rarely think political authority is in touch, and I very rarely think capitalist authority even cares about doing what is right. Where people think for themselves and do the right thing for the sake of it being the right thing, authority isn't necessary.

If you don't like authority, live your life such that authority applies to you as little as possible. Avoid dependency on it and answer to no-one but yourself.
