Is it normal to have a swollen gland out of the anus

Im a straight dude, (Not Gay). I have a wife and kids. But something is wrong with me. My job is through a temp service and I have no insurance. But I am scared in a sense that I notice a swollen type gland from my behind. Some time its hard to pass gas and let go in the toilet. I don't know what it is really. Sometimes I want to see if I can push it back inside with tissue and a finger. But the tissue feels like sand paper on it. Can anyone tell me what might be taking place here? The bad part is.....I am 37.

something tells me that maybe because he had to clarify the fact he's straight that maybe something NOT so straight took place…. No one has to specify their sexuality when they are having a medical problem

Ok does it matter if you have a wife and kids? Not saying you're gay but there are men who have wives and children and later turn out to be gay.

    • I think he was just trying to point out he hasn't had anal sex because he thought that might be a reason that contributed to whatever it is hanging out of his ass.

It could be a haemorrhoid or a prolapsed colon/anus. If it is the latter, I highly suggest that you see a doctor. For the former, I guess it would depend on how far it is coming out. I know that there are specially made creams and wipes for haemorrhoids.

So, your gland is falling out of your ass?

Why didn't you go to a doctor?

  • It sounds like a haemorrhoid. You don't need to see a doctor you can buy cream for them at the pharmacy. Only if it get infected or excruciatingly painful or chronic do you need to see a doctor.
