My parents have been divorced for over 10 years. I have 3 siblings, one of them is 25, another is 22 and another is 15 and i am 17, my sisters boyfriend also lives with us and pays rent. My 25 year old sister moved out. My dad still pays child support for all of us and since he makes a lot so we get a lot. Recently, my mom stopped buying a lot of food, she buys only almost $50 worth of food a week and she barely buys us things that the child support pays for like clothes, she goes out to dinner with her boyfriend everyday and does fun things and takes trips while she leaves us at home, is it normal that i think she is being selfish and stealing our child support money?

    You might want to start collecting reciepts to prove this is happening and then tell your dad.

    This cant be true. After 18 a parent is no longer obligated to pay child support. My father has 3 families and he stopped paying child support after 18 when each child turned 18 years. So I dont see how anyone can force your father to pay support for a 22 and 25 year old.

    And aren't some of you younger than 18?! THEY are going to take you away and send you to different parents if you're not under adult supervision! It might happen I think.. Please correct me if I'm wrong!

    its normal, but extreme. its not a good thing to do because its takes away from your childhood and leaves a bad rap

    It's normal, but this is extreme. My mom just makes me buy crap that she wants because I have more spare money from working than she does.

    You're dirt poor because of your mom.

    and what she's doing is illegal.

    I hope she's using her bank card for all this, then if you called the police, it would be really easy for them to have proof
