Is it normal to have a repeated nightmare u haven't had in 5 years

Like I said in the title I'll have repeated night mares some of them I can't even remeber until I had them again like when I was 5 I had a dream I was in a canabilstic icecreamshop and 5 years later I had it again I don't think itwas from a horror movie or somthing because I still hate horror movies

  • I have a nightmare which I dream like once every month. It's about me turning into a werewolf and eat my entire family.
    I've had that dream since I was five years old. I don't even think I'd heard about werewolves back then.
    I'm not sure if it is normal, but I'm in the same boat.

    That happen to me not long ago. It was the exact same dream. Everything about it.. I feel you should look into that dream and analyze it. Maybe your trying to tell yourself something.

    Well, dreams about Cannibalism often tends to exemplify a need to own and possess power over the life force of someone or something else. But to dream of being the victim of cannibalism may indicate a sense of desperation by work, stress, a relationship, or from another situation or condition within your life.
    Dreams are usually effected by your feelings or relationships with those around you.

    I think it might have been caused by a reoccuring incedent. Try to think of something you did recently that you did that was similar to something traumatic that happened when you were 5. But, anyway, it's tottaly normal to have that.

    I had a dream that would always 'play' around april, I was some kind of warrior, and every year for 3 years it would continue like a movie sequel ... so ya I'd say that's normal, try letting your mind daydream when you try to sleep, dont think you need to sleep just let your mind play whatever story it wants to tell, not saying you have trouble sleeping, thats just what I do, all I remember is my cool daydreams

      @MikaRose
      I had that kind of repeating dreams every april (very near my birthday) where I'm in a futuristic amusement park. The problem is that every year I do different things in there and every year I wake up after died painfully from rollercoaster misfunctioning.
