Is it normal to have a reoccurring dream like this?

For the past 1 1/2 weeks, every single night i have had this dream, where it's me, the girl i have a crush on, and three random people.
In the dream we are on platforms above crystal-clear ice, and there is a wolf that talks to us.
(It is a lucid dream, so i remember it well, and had some control over decisions made by myself.)
The wolf was asking us questions, like why are you here? etc, but all i could say was simply: I Don't know. (Imagine you having a multiple choice question, but all the answers are blank. Thats what it was like.)
And every single night i have had this dream. HELP Is this normal? Can i stop it?

i had severe insomnia as a child caused by a reoccurring dream. eventually i grew out of the insomnia but I still have the dream from time to time, especially after it's brought up (like now). in the dream I'm always the same age as I was when I first started having it and ironically the dream involves me waking up in the middle of the night, as I would commonly do at that age, but then something scary happens which would wake me in real life. and it's always the exact same realistic dream.

I keep having one where I'm trying to swim upstream in a river, against a strong current. I eventually drown and wake up.
Not sure what it means but I can speculate.

I believe this to happen frequently, but unsure if it happens enough to label it as 'normal' so I voted; dont know.

I've never had a recurring dream. My brother did though, a really creepy one too. He decided to write about it for one of his papers when he was young and it stopped. Some people cite this as a good method.
