All teenagers are rebels without a cause. If people hate you for it, you're boring them. As an adult, it is boring trying to explain to a petulent child why, coz if they can't work it out why for themselves, we just pray they grow up and move on / out soon.
It does sound like a child trying to get attention - you know the brat that just says 'why?' constantly, to get someone to talk to them. You're not being smart / clever, you're just being a dick!
