Is it normal to have a really good sense of smell?

I don't mean "good", I mean REALLY GOOD. I can smell static in the air, food from the house across the street, I even saved my neighbors from a gas leak once. It sounds like a gift but it isn't. My parents smell so bad to me that I am desperate to find a job so I can move. I can't use most public restrooms or go to gas stations because
I will throw up from the smell. Is it normal to have a sense of smell this good? Is there any way I can get rid of my insanely good sense of smell?
