Is it normal to have a really clingy friend?

ok so my friend is really clingy and its getting annoying. because she lives really close to me she is round my house every day wanting to come in or for us to go and do something. she basically wants to do everything with me, the other day i was meeting my other friend and she just invited herself. she also gets really annoyed if i say ive made plans with someone else or im busy. if i dont answer my phone she rings non stop for like an hour.its getting annoying. But, i dont want to stop being her friend because of this, and i dont want to upset or offend her because i like her and enjoy spending time with her.
so IIN? and what should i do about it?

Maybe she's got a thing for you lol jk. Try to observe why she behaves the way she does. she might have all the good intention in the world.

  • I know exactly how you feel, maybe just become aquantances. (People who know one another.)
Confront her, even how hard it may be about the situation. Just say maybe you need time to focus on family or other friends. I just seperated from a crazy, phsyco "best friend," or whatever she called me, now I am free to be with others and I am so happy!
    I hope it helped! :)

I have a friend sort of like this too. I've learned from experience that if u tell her how u really feel and that she is annoying she will get offended no matter how nicely u try to say it. Then u risk losing the whole friendship. I say stick it out if she is truly a good friend and do your best to avoid her or make excuses if u dont want to hang out for now lol
