Is it normal to have a panic attack ?

3 weeks back i got sick. I was throwing up, Head pressure unlike headaches, weak, accelerated heart rate, Fear of dying, Chest pain, shortness of breath and shaking !! thought i was bloody goin to die !!! So i ended up in hospital for 2 nights. Physician sent me for x-rays, blood tests and ultrasound scans BUT everything was normal !! Before all this started i was supposed to go for my car licence test but got scared and didn't go! So theres nothing wrong with my health and im not losing my mind. Could this all just be a panic attack ? I don't know whats wrong !! I still think about death and feel like im gona die, i still feel weak at times, i feel short of breath, i get hot flashes, blurred vision and boby pains !! this lasts for 30mins and im back to normal !! help

Oh yeah I forgot to add. Panic attacks arnt a physical problem wich is why the doctors said there's nothing wrong with you. Its more of a phsyicological problem meaning its all in your head you just have to remember that.

You sound like a very anxious person! We have that in common. I've never been afraid of dying though. Panic attacks are fairly normal unless they get out of hand and your body gets mixed up and stops functioning the way it is supposed to. Panic attacks can include: Nausea, Pins and needles in the feet and hands, a fuzzy sensation in your head, blacked out vision, Dizziness, crying, shaking and fever.

Reaching out to a therapist to help you through some issues, fears and anxiety may be appropriate. You can also resort to pills that calm you down, but if it can be solved without medication that would be your best scenario. :)

You could literally have a thyroid problem that is going undiagnosed... Or, you could just be an anxiety-ridden person. Get your thyroid checked. People don't realize how much that really affects every part of your body. Get it checked and ask the doc for some prozac for anxiety if the thyroid is normal.
