Is it normal to have a movie you watch all the time?

Does anyone have a movie that they watch all the time?

Like, a movie you find comfort in or something.
Or just a movie you could watch a lot and never get sick of or have it on in the background when you're doing other things?

Does this make sense? Haha, like I just have some movies that I can always put on and never get sick of watching or just put on when I'm in my room

I do it with Lord of the Rings, to the point where it can be on mute the whole time and I know what part it's on.

  • I love the count of monte cristo, LOTR, dodgeball, old disney movies and cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2, and there is a documentary out there called ghosts in your genes or something punny like that.

Yep. I could definitely watch those all over and over!

    I think I've watched "300" nearly 200 times and I don't exaggerate.
I also watch "cool runnings" a lot.

I am like that with a handful of movies. Night at the Roxbury, Deuce Bigalow, and Empire Records are three of 'em. Lol! Glad to know I am not alone.

Yeah, I think that's fine. I do it to some extent. There are about a dozen films that have a special place in my heart and I don't let a year go by without rewatching them. Same with books. I'm actually just coming to the end of Catch 22 right now for probably the tenth or eleventh time. I've probably read Catcher In The Rye and One Hundred Years of Solitude that number of times too. When something is so amazing, why limit yourself to one viewing or reading of it? We don't do that with music, so why anything else?
