Is it normal to have a lump where my tooth is coming through

Hi everyone, I have all four of my wisdom tooth growing and am currently on the waiting list to have them pulled, only one of them has actually split the gum but right next to that split is a very prounounced lump, its been infected three times but ive never had the lump, can this be a more serious infection, there is,also no room for my teeth to grow but im still on the waiting list through the oublic system as I already cant work due to knee surgery in the neat future, could this be somithing serious?? Has anyone else had this kind of hsrd very sore lump?

Could be an abcess? I had a whole lot of trouble with all my wisdom teeth (was told to get them removed before I turned 23 but *accidentally* forgot...), lots of pain which I mostly managed with teething gel.

Check with your GP, if it is an abcess, it'll need treatment. Otherwise, it might be ok to self manage.
