Is it normal to have a large bald spot on the side of my hand?

My hands are naturally quite hairy but once it reaches the side of my hand (towards the little finger), it abruptly turns bald, so much so that it looks weird.

Is this normal?

    It's normal to have hair stop on the side of the hand. It doesn't naturally grow there on anyone so far as I know.

    Maybe it rubs against something repeatedly throughout the day? Is it on your dominant hand?
