My chemistry teacher is really old and ugly. He has huge bags under his eyes and he's balding all around his head. And yet I somehow am wicked obsessed with him, and demand hugs that when I get, I feel light headed from excitement. Am I going insane?

Having a crush on someone is natural. Everyone has had a crush on someone at some point. However, wanting hugs off of an elderly man, whether he's a teacher or not, is a bit strange.
haha, i don't see how you can have a crush on an old wrinkly guy. but to each their own i guess. it's ok to hug him, as long as you don't go beyond that.

You may be mistaking respect and friendship with romance.
Plus, if you're in high school then dating your teacher may not be possible... if you're underage it'll get him arrested and if you're of age he'll still get fired.
If you're in college then it'll be legal but he may still have issues with his job.
And of course that's assuming he's even interested and not happily married or in a relationship with someone else.
Go for it, their all jealous of what you have for each other, he wants you as bad as you him.
