Is it normal to have a honeymoon period with songs?

Alright, let me make this clear. Whenever I hear a new song that I love, I play it and keep it on repeat. I listen to it about 300 times. Then I stop liking the song and never listen to it again. is it normal that I do this with songs?

I actually try to refrain from having honeymoon periods with songs because I simply just don't want to get bored of them.

I don't do that, it helps to not piss off the people around you and keeps you liking the song for longer. This is why I refuse to listen to top 40 at length because they just kill songs.

I hate finding a song I love knowing that I'll listen to it too much then end up loathing it.

Me too. Not telling you what song, though.

I do this for really addictive songs, but the large majority just creep into playlists, and I rarely get bores of them.
