Is it normal to have a hernia every year?

I have had 7 hernias over the past 6 years and i am going in for another operation soon, i just wanted to know, is this normal. After every operation i take 1-2 months off but another 4 months another one comes in the same place.

    This is obviously NOT normal! There is something wrong that keeps happening and your doctors are only giving you a temporary fix. This is evidence of why the health care system in this country sucks ass. Pharmaceuticals suck shit. There are many things that doctors won't tell you that you ought to do. For example, you don't want fluoride in your drinking water. You don't want to consume processed foods, in particular aspartame and HFCS. You should consume as many different colored organic vegetables every day. Plus you don't want pasteurized juices or milk. Unfortunately non pasteurized is hard to find, so just drink organic tea you brew yourself. I would be willing to bet if you did these things your overall health would greatly improve. Also if you don't have a lot of stress in general.
