Is it normal to have a headache every sunday?

I'm not joking it's such a nuisance having scheduled headaches during Sundays. It ruins my weekend and I start the weekdays at my worst.

I go to uni every Monday to Thursday, have no classes on Friday to Sunday. What I usually do during the weekends is just play the PS3 except I go to church every Sunday. It's usually after I go to mass (17:00 onwards) when my head starts to hurt. I don't take medicines and I sleep at around 1:00-2:00 in the morning. I wake up Monday at 6:00 and my headache's gone.

I've been like this since I don't know, last year and uughhh I hate it. Is this unusual or does it happen to some of you?

Could be from the eye strain of playing video games so long with out taking breaks . Try getting up and walk around for 5 mins every 30 to 45 mins while your playing and see if that helps. I get a headache if I play for more than a hour with out a break on the computer. Also be sure you don't get so in to playing that you skip eating and drinking something healthy for meals . Hunger or dehydration can also cause headaches.

Thanks for the comment! And yeah it makes sense when too much time is spent sitting down with only your hands moving then suddenly stand up and walk to church. Thanks again! :-)

I used to, but that was when I hated my(old)church and also had to get up early. Maybe it's too boring..or you need to change your schedule like Terry said.

Haha, I don't think the boring part contributes to why your head had hurt before! I think it is about waking up early. Thank you for the comment!

Because it's happening at the same time, it must be something in your routine. People used to be told to keep down time in front of a monitor or TV to a few hours a day maximum. Why not try cutting out your PS3 time for just one weekend and see if you get the headaches.

You may find there's a limit; that you can play for a few hours but any more will mean a headache. Or it may be nothing to do with the PS3 (in which case, look for other differences in your day between a weekend and weekday).

Yup, I've somewhat been "experimenting" on the activities I do during Sundays and changing them has indeed got me the result of not having headaches anymore. I tried not going to mass, not playing the PS3 during the afternoon for hours straight etc. Thanks for the feedback and the wonderful suggestions!

Yay! That's really good news. It's great to see a success story on IIN. I'm really glad for you. :)

hm. you ever tried not going to mass? If you are so religious you have to, how about attending morning mass? Or just going to church by yourself and praying?

It would seem to me you are already "trained" into developing a headache following this procedure, so the logical thing would be to change things around and see what happens.

Also, if all you do is play PS3, possibly your body is not getting something he needs? Maybe you are dehydrating slowly because you don't drink enough and end up with an headache near the end of the weekend?

I'm actually not that religious to not miss going to church, my parents are the ones who oblige me to go. But these days I have not been attending mass mostly due to school works.

My reply is a month late and I guess you're right about changing my lifestyle. I changed that part not going to church but I still play the PS3, not that I'm dehydrated however since I always have food and water beside me whenever I play.

Thank you so much for the feedback!
