Is it normal to have a guilty feeling about political issues in sex?

Mainly because the person you want to have sex (or just had sex or is going to have sex, doesn't really matters) is a huge supporter of a politician who obvisouly say wrong things and disrespect others? Not talking about Trump because I'm not american.
I feel like I should respect myself more and let it go because there's plenty of hot people out there, but then I think "all of them have different ways to see the world that I'm not aware of and it's just sex, it's not like I'm chosing to live with this person".
What you guys think? Am I overthinking?

    I actually was with someone who was a trump fan, i had this same apprehension, even tho I liked them other than that. I kinda just forced myself to see the positive sides (I mean, trump isnt HORRIBLE - very few people are completely void of redeeming qualities, although he comes close - but to LOVE him is a bit of a turn off. same if someone LOVED hillary). luckily this person seems to have realised the error of their ways as of late.

    anyway If ur just fuckin, who gives a shite.

      Yeah, I think supporting way too much a politician is kinda a turn off, doesn't really matters if they're good or bad because people can't be good all the time. But they can be mature and respectful.

      Where I live people are freaking out talking about politics everywhere and not in a good way, no one is growing when we talk about that topic, it's being a situation where people hate each other if they don't support "that one politician".It's childish and it can be frightening to even let a doctor know about which politician you support, because in the news a doctor reffused to help a mother and her children because they weren't supporting the politician that person liked.

        Yeah it's crazy how people take politics way too personally and associate with one side or another, as if it is the most important thing in their life, when they really have very little influence on anything in the world by being that way. Just tell her/him to chill tf out and that you don't care, or else move on and keep trying other people til you find one who isn't annoying

    It depends how bad I think their views are really, if they were a Trump supporter for example then no. I couldn't have sex with anyone I don't respect. That's why I'd never want to know too much about a one-night-stand, I'd just be too turned off them anyway. It's only if things started becoming serious that I'd want to know the details.

    No, I can honestly say when I'm almost ready to get on the job the last thing I'm thinking about are her political leanings. I've never actually asked my previous sexual partners about this subject but I'm pretty sure they weren't thinking about the front runners for the next election as well.

    I would imagine talking politics to a present, or prospective sexual partner is a sure fire way to kill any chance of wild, unabandoned sexual activity stone fucking dead.

      Yeah. I don't really talk about it either, it's really stupid, but with social media and everything you can really see the things that person thinks and it's really... "yikes".
      But I guess if it's just sex, it doesn't matters? Ignorance is bliss in this situation and you are mostly just meeting the person for sex and never going to see her again.

    I agree with JellyBeanBandit: it's about respect.

    If I'm going to be intimate with someone, I have to like and respect them. Some people can do the anonymous hook-up thing, but that's not for me.

    There are lots of viscous populist politicians in the world at the moment. While I can intellectually understand the forces that lead people to support them, I find it impossible to respect those supporters.
