Is it normal to have a good boss fired?
I recently was fired from a job I loved. The whole crew was hand picked by me for their collective skills that would make the team a great success. The understanding was clear however, that as their boss, I would be there to coach them in the right direction if necessary. Long story short, An employee was termed for "gross misconduct". Soon after, problems started arising with another's performance. I subsequently had to "coach" this person. Soon after I found myself being interviewed by the HR department regarding my inapropriate conduct at work. I had created a website and people at work were interested in what I was doing, so they asked, an I told. Even the associate I had to "coach" thought it was cool. Until her coaching of course.. The-ex employee and the recently coached one basically started a coo of three people, made up some stories, and got me fired. Worse yet, they felt the need to rub in salt with harassing calls & texts to me.
My question is people:
If even though I wasn't mistake free, but genuinely cared about these people as my own, is this really how we behave now at work and in society in general? I am personally appauled and hurt. But keep the hope that karma will pay them a nice visit in my name. :)
