OK so Ive got this amazing friend who's a girl and we act like we are brother and sisters and I just love to hang out with her. Is this normal to want to hang out with a girl and to have her as your best friend?
Totally normal. Guys and girls can be friends, despite what most may think.
Actually it may have little to do with luck. People tend not to be attracted to people with whom they spend lots of time before the age of 6. This behaviour evolved to decrease the chance of inbreeding, however it does not only apply to family members. If the OP has known their best friend since before the age of 6, it is likely not luck, but genetic behaviour that has kept the friendship as it is.
A "girl best friend" is a phenomenon in which a sex-starved and frankly stupid teenaged boy gets caught up thinking that one day, eventually, he'll be able to get some from the equally stupid and clueless bitch who friendzoned him in the first place :)
its rare. they might develop other feelings for each other ( girlfriend-boyfriend kinda thing)

Up until sixteen, my best friends had been females. So, yes, I would say it is normal.
Yes. As a child, I used to have a female BFF. However, as I aged, the more I realized that she was a psychotic hell hound. Needless to say, I had to cut ties with her and that evening that marked the end of our friendship as well as our mom's was explosive. There was screaming and name calling. I was accused of a betrayal that I never knew I had committed.

Sorry to say but it wont last sooner or later on will catch feeling. The younger you are the better your chances til you both get a little older obviously you arent aleast 21 but thats ok. Theres more i can say but i'll keep it short its like a stick of dynamite at one point one of yall emotions will explode.
