Is it normal to have a friends with benefits relationship for 2 years?

I have been involved in a friends with benefits/fuck buddy/booty call (whatever you wanna call it) thing for 2 years. Me and the other lead completely separate lives. We have different friends and different schools, so our paths usually dont cross. However we do get along great most of the time. We make eachother laugh, we chat, we talk about all different things, and I trust him completely, more than a lot of my closest friends... But for two years now, our relationship has not escaped eachothers bedroom. I have trouble imagining that our relationship can go any further, but at the same time I wish it could, and feel that it has the ability to. Although i currently do not hold deep rooted feelings for him, I'm left wondering about this whole situation. Is it normal?

    You should invite him to do some outer-bedroom activity with the excuse that you "have no one else to go with". Then you will see if you can enjoy your time in another context.
