Yes it's 100% normal! Everyone should have at least 1 FWB in their lifetime!

It never lasts long. This type of relationship is total bullshit... But we play it well anyways...

  • Never. That ain't my style. ;)

But I'm not opposed to anyone else doing it. If that's what they like, then give'r.

I've always had them. Not when I'm in a relationship, but they're always there lol. A phone call away. It's like how I quit smoking, it was easy because I knew it I wanted one I could just grab it from my closet where I hid my emergency smoke. It's kind of the same thing with booty calls when I'm dating someone haha

Its normal but it doesn't ever work out in the end.I have one of those and unfortunately I am in love with him and have been for a long time. That's all he wants is his friend (me) and some action.Me, I took the deal because I will take what I get just to have him near. Pretty sad really.

i actually had one, lasted for 7 months though.. I don't know if its accurate to call it as FWB.. she was 5 years older than me, consider as a MILF because she had 4 kids.. i fall for her first which is why we lasted for 7 months.. she went back to her husband after all we did and we're together because they had a cold war.. sometimes i miss the sex because my first time was given to her.

    (sorry for my bad english)

  • Been offered one but I'd already fallen for him so we didn't. If either party falls for the other and the other doesn't feel the same then end it quickly. Sometimes FWB can develop into proper relationships but at lot of the time they don't for one reason or another

FWB is American PC for fuck-buddies or shag-buddies. I have had loads in my life and I'm only 20. As a hot female it is easy to have FWB if you want them - it can be handy, especially when you (the girl) dictate the terms. Sounds selfish, but it can only wrk this way in my opinion.

You can have fuck buddies, who aren't very close friends at all, but 'friends with benefits' implies you can have a friend and start fucking them and not start to like them more which isn't very realistic.

That whole "friends with benefits" is an invention of the media. I've never met anyone in my entire life who had ever had a friend with benefits, not male nor female. It's all made up. There are, of course, casual relationships, and understandings among people to have sex without emotional attachment. But I've never found actual friendship there. It just doesn't happen. They are not friends in the true sense of the world, they are just "fuck buddies", or whatever the fuck you want to call it. I'm not saying it's impossible to be friends with someone you are fucking, I'm just saying I've never seen it actually happen even though the media is for some reason over exploiting such a notion.

I have a boyfriend now, and we actually started out as friends with benefits.
I've had a few friends with benefits in my life. Some lasting a while, some basically being one night stands.
I'm not proud of them all, really. I actually consider last year my low point, when I had too many "friends with benefits" in a short period of time. And I regret some of them and wish I would have slowed down.

I know a few people who have had this but it's usually inbetween serious relationships.

I suppose its normal but I've never had one. I remember being offered that once but one of us would have developed feelings, I'm quite sure of that.

Someone always gets hurt no matter what you say to each other.

I've never really had one although I've been offered FWB situations and turned them down. To which most people say, "You were offered sex without commitment with a person you find attractive and you turned it down?"
