Is it normal to have a friend that you are totally honest with?

I have a friend who I share my unedited thoughts with as they happen. Is this normal? I mean, that I tell them everything on request. There are no secrets and they know all of the important good and bad things about me.

    I have a friend who's like that. We share everything and when we talk we don't really think about what we're going to say we just say it. It's nice to have friend like that.

      well i try to be that friend to people, i feel im open and easy to talk to, and if they tell me something personal, they tell me. im not one to gossip. but really it just a mutual trust thing, i tell people al sorts of thinggs about me as well.

    I used to do something similar with friends, but eventually I realised that I was probably being a burden to them so I started to distance myself from them... I do have one friend that gets me for the most part, but even with her I find myself censoring myself.

    You mean that one golden friend your open enough to talk about your regrets, your dreams, your fetishes and you can laugh at a porno based of American Dad! together? Yeah it's normal, as long as the also tell their secrets and all that jazz.
