Is it normal to have a friend over everynight?

I'm a gay male, 40 I meet a guy and we started dating. He has a male friend that has been coming over for years. This friend is A Sexual so nothing will ever happen between them. At first I didnt think anything about it. I have since moved in with "john" and things have been really good except for one issue. His friend continues to come over almost ever night to get on the computer (its 2009 and he dosent own his own) Once he is done he sits and watches TV with us. I have talked to "john" about it and he says he dosent want to hurt his feelings hes been doing it for years and dosent know how to tell his friend that we need space for our relationship to grow. I feel that my feelings dont matter. Is it normal for me to feel this is weird and that his friend needs to get a clue? I'm all for friends and dont want to come between them but is it normal for it to be every night?

    yeah, there is a lot of disrespect going on here! tell him you want a relationship with just him, not him and his friend. maybe he is feeling smothered or something... i dont know, maybe he has something else going on in his head that is keeping him from being alone with you... good luck

    Now is a good time for "john" to straighten things out: he can tell him he is in a relationship and you 2 need your privacy as a couple, and, that he is welcome to come over when invited.
