Is it normal to have a fear of objects under water?

I have a fear of things in the water that I cant see, that I touch, or that touch me..
I get creeped out and panic, then will try and move/swim away as fast as possible.
I even used to be freaked out by automated pool cleaners like Kreepy Krauly's, not so much any more though.
Does anyone else have this fear?

I have the same issues. The pool cleaners, the pool filter, the metal drain in a pool (not afraid of getting sucked down, but actually afraid of the metal grate), afraid of things like flooded cities in a lake and swimming over top of them, like if I touched them I would freak out, but am not the least bit bothered by fish or whatever in the water touching me, bouys that float in lakes and the chains they're attached to, in ground cisterns (don't even like looking in them), the underside of boats, their propellers, the intake systems on the bottom of a sea-doo or jet ski, even the water in the tank of a toilet. Basically man-made objects in water...very odd I know and I can't explain it. But a serious fear that I can only describe as creepy.

I'm like this in the ocean, I will never ever go out in the deep or even to my waste. I'm so afraid of something coming up and grabbing me and pullin me under water!

I do! I have always had that fear! Along with the pool cleaning thing that used to scare the crap out of me. I'm kind of over it now but I think that you're situation is normal
