Everyone's racist. I don't give a shit what anyone says. And if they say they aren't, they're in denial. Oh, and black people are the most racist people ever. They can call white people crackers and expect them to keep quiet. But heaven forbid they call them the oh so dreaded "N" word.. I'm just saying.

People throw the word racist out there like its nothing. This is not an example of racism. It is prejudice. Racism is to act on racial prejudice to limit another economically. So by that definition, black people are not racist because they have no power to be. I understand what you are trying to say though and I do agree that all people are racially prejudice to an extent. Even though I'm mixed black and white, I am prejudice my self against all types of people and often feel uncomfortable around people. I actually believe prejudice is just a survival tool.

You should try an address it, because we are all children of the same planet, it stunts our ability to grow and build new relationships. I would build up to it, try hanging out with a friend who has a black friend & get to know them. Friend request them on Facebook & befriend them.

I'm mixed black and white and i think this is normal. My white mother told me every white person is prejudice to an extent. I wouldn't call you a racist because racism is to act on the racial prejudice especially if it involves limiting people economically. I study a major in college that is prodomently made up of whites and Asians and a lot of days I feel uncomfortable with them.

It doesn't neccisarily mean your racist. I'm the same way when I'm surrounded by a bunch of black people. But, I love black people. I'm not racist I just feel that some of them may REALLY hate white people. It's normal to me.

(I'm white, kind of young and fragile, brazilian male - in Brazil there are predominantly white areas but your city will never be.)

I don't fear afro-descendants, but I might fear depending on how someone wear or how I perceive they act.
If I had to choose to cross on the pavement with a serious looking middle-aged black sir wearing a suit or some thug gangasta-like white boy I'd be comfortable sticking with the first.

I was raised to distrust, be afriad of, look down on, or try my best to avoid blacks. I don't really do any of those things, I don't care what color anybody is. But I like you am uneasy being the only person in the room.

Well yeah if you think about it a lot of them are big, tall and have deep voices. If they live in the ghetto people living in those areas try to look mean. Not saying black people are bad but it is understandable why you would be intimidated.

it's ok, it's your little phobia. Just don't treat them differently and don't show discomfort and you'll be alright.

I was raised in a predominately white community. I am the youngest of 9 with 7 adopted. My family consists of Koreans, Blacks, Navajo and then me, Hawaiian. I am very open minded about culture and all that jazz because of my family, but being around other blacks and polynesians and even some mexicans makes me feel uncomfortable. Blacks to me are really loud and roudy and they talk about things and use slang I don't understand. I don't know how to react to them. My brother who is Black even admits to avoiding them or avoiding eye contact because he "doesn't know how to speak jive." lol! Mexicans stare at everyone and I feel that just because I have brown skin they think I speak spanish, so they're always walking up to me asking questions. My husband who is Caucasian) and I live in an area where there is a huge gang called the Tongan Crypt Gang. They're scary as shit! I'm not your typical islander. I'm 5"5 and weight 130lbs, compared to even the other females, I'm tiny. They always look mad. We live in a house where we think there was some bad blood between gang members taht used to live there because we get knocks on the doors with TCG members looking for someone. Since I'm poly they think I know who they're looking for, but when they see my husband who's white they automatically know he's not the guy they're looking for. Somedays I miss living in a snobby white community.

So what? They're only 'African Americans' in the world? Idiot. Black people!
Anyway, I get what you're saying. Sometimes I also feel like that about black people. I have black friends though. Its just I get a bit nervous when I'm alone and around a bunch of them, probably because pretty much all the crime here is committed by black people. By the way, im not being being racist, I'm just stating the facts. People are so sensitive with this whole racism crap - it causes more shit than if everyone just spoke there mind freely instead of all being stupid, ignorant clones of each other. Too stoned for this lol

You probably live in a predominately white area, yeah?

You've probably been programmed by your parents and grandparents and teachers and peers, huh?

You need to experience the real world and embrace the fact that there is no such thing as a supreme race. One day, hopefully, everyone will be so mixed up, there won't be a single white person left on this earth.

FYI: I've got Irish, German, and Native American blood - I am caucasian, white, whatever.

You need to shape up and get with the times. Say it with me: "Two-thousand-and-ten."

Well, I have 'black friends' who tell me that they don't know how to talk to 'white people' and admit it might be silly.

Dress up like a black person for a day and surround yourself with just black and white people separately.
