Is it normal to have a father/daughter relationship with my bf?

I love my boyfriend a lot, and more than anything, I love our relationship. I have never been close to my father, but my bf makes up for it all. I love how he dotes on me, and always calls me sweetie, sweetheart, or "silly girl." Every day when he comes home he pulls me to his lap and asks how my day was, and if I behaved, and what I did. If I ever do anything he says is unsafe, or wrong, he pulls me over his lap and spanks my bare bottom with a paddle, or just his hand. After he spanks me he holds me on his lap and hushes me until I am happy again. He always smothers me with hugs and kisses, and is ever so gentle and caring. He won't let me take risks, and makes me adhere to rules he makes. If I talk back, he slaps my bottom. Sometimes I get mad at him, and feel like I really am a child again, but then later I realize I like to feel small. He is 16 years older than me, and it just feels right to think of him as a father. Normal?

    Perfectly acceptable as long as you are both consenting adults. Like you said, you enjoy feeling small and protected. And the age difference could well make you think of him as a father figure - especially since you aren't close to your own. And I don't get the impression that this is the kind of relationship you would want with your own father. As long as you're happy with this relationship, go for it.

      Thanks so much for the excellent comment. You hit the nail dead-on. Of course I would never want my father to have treated me this way, but it is kinky when my bf does it. I think most girls would find pleasure in being babied and protected in a similar fashion.

        Nothing wrong with a bit of kink in the relationship. I'd like it if my girlfriend was a bit more adventurous. And she does tell me quite often that she really likes feeling "little" next to me (I'm 6'5"). So I get it totally.

    I don't see anything wrong with it as long as you don't let him push you around or control you or anything. I personally can't stand it when my boyfriend thinks he has any more authority over me than I have over him lol

      No. We do not do the silly baby talk ever. And of course it is playful. Most times we act like a perfectly normal couple.
