Is it normal to have a dream that your best friend dies?

Ok well I had this dream that I met my best friend in person after 2 years of communicating online. We hung out everywhere until this cop had arrested her (forgot what the reason was). I tried to help her get out of the cop car but the cop swerved the car too much, flipped over, and injuring both my best friend and the cop. I ran over to where she was then she died in front of my eyes. I woke up shocked sad and confused. Is this normal? And what can this dream mean?

    Oh my goodness! First of all, I would just like to say that I'm glad I'm not the only one that has never actually met their best friend in real life.

    Second of all, this has happened to me as well. I had a dream that my best friend and I were hanging out at his house (it was fuzzy, since I have never actually been to his house) then his little sister and twin brother came in and suddenly shot him! It was terrifying, even though it was only a dream.

      Damn I thought I was the only one too since people think it's weird. And oh my that's scary O.O well glad it's only a dream still don't know meaning behind it.

        I know, people always talk shit about long distance friendships/relationships.

        Maybe you are scared of losing her? Or, maybe you are scared of never getting to meet her? Me and my best friend always talk of meeting, but on my low days i have to consider the hard fact that it may never actually happen.

        But have hope!

          Yup I know that feeling :/ they are actually better than people around you and hey you never know maybe something will pop up that's going to make you guys meet thanks, yes keep hoping :)
