Is it normal to have a dream like this?

I had an extremely vivid and disturbing dream in which an attractive woman in her late 20's knocked at my door asking if i could publish her novella. For reasons i can't remember i had to refuse, apologise and close the door. As i walked away i somehow knew that she was dead and knew she would return. A few minutes later i entered an unfamilier garden at the back of the house and saw her standing there. I knew that she was lonley and wanted me to be with her and i knew she was going to kill me so we could be buried together. (This is when she said something that is affecting me now while writing about this). she grabbed me and said " I want to rot into you". And drowned me. That dream, especially the one line has not stopped making me feel emotional for days. I'm not sure if its normal as i have never been this affected by a dream. Is it just a normal nightmare or not

    That is very eerie. I've had weird dreams like that before as well. But I wouldn't worry too much about it. Its just a dream... or nightmare, rather. If anything, it probably doesn't hold much meaning, except that of a horror type movie. Do you watch a lot of horror movies?

    Your subconscious might've been releasing bits and pieces of scary movies you've watched in the past, and it came out in your dream.

    If it wasn't that, then you still shouldn't allow it to worry you. Your imagination was probably just running rampant. Try thinking of more pleasant things before sleeping, stay away from scary movies, and creepy stories for a while, and see if your dreams change a bit. I doubt anything bad will become of this. I doubt anybody is going to be rotting inside of you. Don't worry.

    They do have books that help you to interpret your dreams, or you could try looking it up online. But don't lose sleep over this. If weeks go by and you still find yourself worried over it, talk to a therapist. Good luck!

      If it happens again i'll definatly try to find out wahat it means and yeah I do watch horror films sometimes but they never really scare me. Something good has come from this though. I have always written novellas and ive taken a cue from the woman and I'm turning it into a short story. I think this has the potential to be quite good. I haven't had any new ideas to write about in a long time. I think a tiny part of me wants them to carry on for new ideas

    Basically your afraid of a loosing a girl sounds like. Most likely you don't even know you like the chick it's probably someone you saw once but meets your requirements. Or could be that you are afraid of never finding the right one either way dating is not for you bro. And stay away from graves

    That's fucking vile, I picture her rotting as she says that, going from a beauty to putrid flesh and forcing her lips to urs and vomiting rotting entrails into u. Drowning u disgustingly and cruely, which cause ur own flesh to rapidly rot, till there is nothing but intertwined pair of skeletons with few pieces of meat hanging on, but most in a soup pool around the body's, surrounded by this beautiful garden.

    Your dreams are trying to tell you something. There is such a thing as a "dream therapist" (I think that's what they are called) who interpret your dreams. If you don't want to or can't see one, you could get a dream dictionary but it might not be as through.

    Intense.. This could possibly be life changing.
