Is it normal to have a cycle with bad perioads?

I notice that after some good periods in my life, when everything is great, something bad happens and it keep coming. Than a good period follows again...
I noticed that it happened in the past several times. 

For example, 3 months ago life was really good, had a girlfriend and business was great. 
Last month we broke up, 2 weeks after, I wrecked my car (on my birthday by the way no full insurance), overreached my phone minutes ($120 extra) and I might find another few odd things. 
After this, I expect a good period again (better car, better girlfriend etc)
Does anybody else noticed somrhing similar?

    When I saw just the title of this, I thought you were talking about periods, as in girl periods lol

    That Always happens to me...just when one part of your life is going good something bad is bound to happen.

    That happens to me a lot!! Bad things tend to come in three's, it would better if the good things came in ten's or something lol
