My best friend has a crush on her older brother. He's 27 she's 23. She's had a crush on him for a few years. She said they made love one time. She wishes they weren't related so she can marry him. She said that they're dating now. She said with all the shootings and terrorist and stuff going on now she's afraid to sleep alone she wants him to sleep with her. She feels safe with him. Her friend told her that it's better to date family members than other people because you can trust them more. Is it normal for her to have a crush on her brother and date him ?

    Leaving normal out of the argument, many brothers/sisters "experiment" a little with each other when they are younger, some have a "Friends with Benefits" relationship when they are adults, and very very few have a loving "married like" relationship. It happens, there have actually been legitimate reported cases on the news, and given the stigma and illegality, there are probably hundreds and hundreds of non-reported cases.

    Personally, so long as they were not having kids (because there is a heightened chance of genetic defects, but even this is not guaranteed) my view is as adults they can do whatever they like.

    I think it's fairly normal, yes. I had a huge crush..Infatuation..Obsession..With my hot older sister, to the point of active pursuit and sex with her on a regular basis. Worked on her until she gave in, then, I became her go-to for sex even after she got her own apartment (even more so, to be honest..damn, we fucked like animals in that place).

    We'd spend a lot of time together, go out on, I'd guess you'd call it, "dates", and even went to one of her friend's wedding reception together, pretty much as a couple. People at our table kept complimenting us on how good we were and looked together, how hands-on we were with each other, etc.. Never knowing the truth about who she was to me or I to her.

    If they're happy, let them have at it..
