Is it normal to have a crush on someone i never met?

Okay so I've had this a couple times but see like a particular actor or person and have a crush on but never actually met them. I'm a girl with no boyfriend and anytime I have feelings for someone I don't know personally that I think is cute, I tend to look them up on Wikipedia and google images. This usually lasts for a month and I DON'T stalk them like Know where they live or be a complete stalker, but look them up occasionally. Also I sometimes create random stories of meeting them, but know that it will never happen. Is it normal?

    Did you know men are more likely to stake then women, but women who stalk men are 9 times more likely that their male counterparts to kill their victims.
