so, i think im having a crush on a videogame character. im not saying who, just that its a tf2 character.
but i think thats weird. hes much older than me and he doesnt even exist in reallife. i just want to know if this is normal. also the game is hella old.
It is absolutely normal and can be healthy to cope. There's no harm in it, as long as you don't go too crazy with it!
Ive had a lot of fictional crushes up until i got a boyfriend, it really helped to find comfort in the characters through the waiting.
I had a crush on Ron Weasley from the HP books for YEARS. I was heavily bullied and buried myself in books. I thought he'd come sweep me away LOL I also had a huge crush on other literary characters. It's totally normal as long as you realize it's not reality and that you find qualities like in those characters attractive because they're based off of real personalities. Just don't get carried away and you're fine. Maybe writing smutty fanfics will help. It helped me lol

I think it is pretty normal meaning that it happens to a lot of people. Still I don't think it's mentally healthy and it shouldn't really happen if you're living a fulfilling life and interacting with real people... Maybe you should focus more on looking for relations with real people and socializing more! I'm not judging anyone here, similar things have happened to me in the past and I understand, I'm just trying to give good advice. Cheers!
