Is it normal to have a bump on my lower lip?

It's been there for as long as I can remember. It doesn't hurt or anything, but I'm worried I'll never get a first kiss because of it.

Is there anything I can put on it to make it go away, or should I see a doctor about it? It's just a small cold-sore like bump on my lower lip that appeared somewhere when I was 8 or 9 and has been there ever since.

    well if it was a cold-sore i heard the sodium helps kill them somehow. it might just be a sun spot.

    It is not a cold sore because they cannot last for that long. You should go to the doctors to get it checked and make sure that it is nothing serious. How noticeable is it?

    It might be a growth of some sort. Have you ever asked your doctor what is is?
