Is it normal to have a blocked ear with numbness on face?

This evening I felt my ears were a little blocked and waxy, so stupidly I started poking my finger around in my left ear. A little after I did this it became worse and almost death. I can feel pressure of some kind in my left ear. Also my ear and most of my head around it is quite numb. Any ideas on what this and how to get rid of it?

    I experienced numbness in my legs when I was on the can too long. The dump just took forever and my legs failed

    I've had a relative who experienced numbness in his face and then his limbs. Turns out he was having a stroke.
