Is it normal to hate when people talk about their kids going potty?

I don't care about when your kids go potty, i don't care about the details, i do not share the enthusiasm of other parents. My kids potty trained in a very matter of fact way. i told them "good job" and they continued on. it wasn't a big deal, it was just expected, like walking or learning to feed themselves. there were no treats or big rewards and they did fine, with very few accidents. it wasn't hard to train them at all. I think kids should feel like going to the bathroom is a PRIVATE matter, that doesn't require a parade. I absolutely hate potty stories!

I agree with parents praising thier kids doing potty traiing - its good positive reinforcement. But thats parent to child. parent to every single person they know - no, I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR IT! Scarier even then talking - the idiots that POST THE SH!T on facebook - LITERALLY!!!! Some jacka$$ posted his kids crap in the toilet on Facebook!! Damn man - let the kid have SOME sense of dignity.

I cannot stand when people post pictures of potty training, it's a little strange that a person would want to take a picture of their child in that position.... i'm just sayin

I hate it when people talk about their kids going potty as well, but then again, I don't really like children all that much to begin with, so...

  • Sometimes it's difficult for some kids and making it a positive experience for the child can be very rewarding for the proud parent.
