I don't like to be asked "Do I know you?"
Like, I don't know who you know. Only you would know that. I think the proper thing to say would be "I'm not sure I've seen you before" or "Have we met? Sorry I don't remember." I especially don't like it when someone I've talked to before asks me. Like, how do they not remember? Especially if we've talked more than once. Anyone else feel this way?

    Don't take it to heart, you're just not that memorable.

    It's normal to not like being told that. There are better ways to say it, but not everyone knows that. If they don't know you, they don't know you or can't remember you. It shouldn't bother you that much.
