Is it normal to hate the word vibe?
I just hate it whenever I hear people saying the word vibe. I know I sound like a boomer or something but when you say it in my opinion you just sound like an absolute tosspot.

It's a cesspool in parts, all the country's homeless have migrated here.
I don’t know about that. I live in Washington and there is a lot of homeless people here. Seriously along the freeways there are thousands of people. And anywhere downtown it just smell of shit and people are living anywhere covered when I was in California, it was nothing compared to here. Except on the la river that was kinda gross.
the cali franchise tax board tried to push me around with their bureaucratic bullshit claimin i owed em money despite me bein state tax exempt and havin decent proof
it took almost a year of endless phone calls fendin off debt collectors and a lien on my house
it was akin to a bully tryin to take my lunch money and they were just hopin id just give up & pay
plus the place is fulla weirdos and natural disasters and its too expensive
I think everyone has a word like that that annoys them or makes them roll their eyes. For me, lately it's been "social distancing". It just sounds like a trendy buzz word to me and reminds me too much of "social anxiety", which I find annoying when whiny people use it as a crutch and an excuse to get out of doing things they're perfectly capable of doing. I seriously knew someone who thought they needed a handicap placard in their car because they had social anxiety and depression. Like, what??? How does that affect your ability to walk to and from your car when parked in a non-handicapped spot?
I guess "vibe" has a bit of an obnoxious trendy buzz word sound to it as well, if you think about it.
Yeah, it's so damn annoying. 'Vibe check!' 'I do kinda be vibing doe..' god SHUT UP.
I get it. It is kind of used improperly, and then too much. This happens to a lot of words...
