Is it normal to hate the sound of napkins rubbing together?

Ever since I was little when I would go out to eat at like a fast-food restaurant and someone would wipe their hands on a napkin and they would rub together making that squeeky rubbing sound just makes me get the chills. I hate it. Is it npet peeves

I've got exactly the same thing. I get chills whenever someone rubs their hands together or wipes them off at their jeans or w/e, and if I do it myself my hands get tingly. It's really weird.

I don't know if it's normal, but I hate the sound of wet styrofoam rubbing together. It makes my entire body cringe. I'm not bothered by other sounds though, like fingernails on a chalkboard.

I'm like that with cotton balls and ice.

I have a similar kind of reaction when people lay a napkin down and just rub their hand across it. It gives me goosebumps to watch. I'm not sure if I "hear" anything, but I react more so to texture issues. Kind of like when people file their nails or chew ice.

Yeah, totally normal. I, for instance, hate the sound of rubbing polystyrene. It's awful. I don't just get goosebumps, I can't handle listening to it.

  • OH MY GOD! This is not normal! Please, try to seek medical attention ASAP! The last person I knew that had a fear like this was brutally tortures by a gang of werewolves. They will take you to a cave and force you to listen to Justin bieber until you ignite fire. Please do as I say & get help you freak!
