Is it normal to hate the sound of a bowel movement?
I know, everyone poops. We all do it. But I can't stand to hear someone defecating. Everything from the feces being expelled, to the gas escaping ... even hearing people straining to push, it completely grosses me out and makes me gag. I hate to be in the bathroom at work, or some other public place, when it's just me and another person who's doing a number two and it's so quiet I can hear everything! It's just such a personal act, and for complete strangers to have to listen in on it is too much. Even when I have BM at home, I have to make some noise, like flushing right as I go, or running some water or playing some music. My husband's never even heard me have a BM before. He thinks I'm crazy, but I know I'm not the only one like this bc I saw it on episode of Scrubs once, where the blonde chick basically admitted to the same thing. There has to be more of us out there.
