Is it normal to hate the feel of your ankles touching hard surfaces?

I've had this problem for awhile. I do not like the feeling of my ankles on hard surfaces. Concrete, wooden floors, and carpet at times! Just knowing it might happen when I sit down cross legged bothers me. I don't know if I should cry out of frustration or get angry. Am I the only one who has this issue?

Oh I have hurt myself that way so many times but i usually just sit on one foot. Like on gravel and pavement. Ouch. Hardwood floors too. Not just by sitting but because of how I get up. I know its going to happen but I don't do anything to prevent it. Silly birdy.
