1. Bowel perforation
2. Cannot digest her food
3. Needs enemas 6x a day
4. No ligaments in stomach
5. 3 hernias
6. Needs surgery to anchor organs

I don't like them either!! They're all: "Oh god wants us to have 1000 babies, so we will!" One of these days a downs child is going to pop out of her and they'll be shocked that "god" gave them a mentally challenged baby. Birth control is there for a reason.

I think they're going to follow their "convictions" and wing out number 20. There is no way the new baby is not going to have
major issues. She will be home schooled so they can keep it quiet. If they "love" children so much why don't they adopt homeless children. I think they want to be a televised freak show.

Michele also has a 2 year old and 16 month old at home while she spends 16 hours a day at the hospital. Who's caring for those babies?

Did you note that the oldest son married a 20 year old girl and she has already had a baby.These girls are given no chance for womens rights. What if they wanted to go to medical school instead. I never hear anything about college. Who knows what kind of deficits the new baby is going to have. And yet they forge on winging out pups right and left. I think they are exhibitionists and are exploiting their chldren. They make me sick.

I was raised with all of the influences and I am a responsible professional. I did know what my parents wanted and they got it. the girls marry too young before they have anykind of living experience. I do not think it is fair to make one child raise brothers and sisters. It takes away their childhoods.

I don't think the girls are being offered any options other than being moms and living a life of subservience to men. I think they should be taught to make their own choices like going to college, etc.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. I agree with OP - having that many children is an injustice to each of them. There is NOT enough time to devote sufficient attention to each of them. And if sherry's right, the last baby (with all of the complications) wasn't a strong enough hint that the mother needs to STOP. Poor kids..

I agree Sherry, the children need their primary attention and care from their parents, not their older sisters. I also disagree with the mother for continuing to deliver children. I understand that she and her husband feel that it's their calling to have as many children as they can, but she is well into her forties now, which means the risks for defects like downs goes sky high, so as a mother myself, I think I would consider the welfare of my children and stop having babies! Especially when she is a grandmother already too!

Ever stop to think that the conditions in which you were raised (ie parental choices, environment, media) are contributing to what you'll eventually become? Don't you think the authority figures in your life have some idea of what they want YOU to be?

Let's not forget that her second to last baby just miscarried. Then the baby afterwards was born premature. And they still want more!
As for the older girls, its just wrong not to give them any choices for careers. There's nothing wrong with not going to college and then deciding to become a stay-at-home mom/wife, but only if you chose that path. These girls aren't being given the skills or options to have any say in their lives.

Just remember it is gods plan to have all these kids. That's why I am going for 46 kids and I'm a dude. I want that tv show. But really 20 ish kids, imagine if everyone in china had 20 kids. We're talking that would be like 20,000,000,000 new people

Normal I guess. But not for those reasons. It helps to be open minded about people who don't lead the same lifestyle you do, just because it's not the norm does not mean it is wrong. As for having a premature baby, that can happen to anyone...even with first babies. Atleast all of the children are looked after, what's wrong with older siblings helping to care for younger ones? I'm sure the duggars are not the only people participating in that! The parents are present all the time, if they aren't it's very intermittent...that's more than a lot of parents can say.
