Is it normal to hate the church so much?

I have a real problem with the Catholic church and I hope my story will convince others to have a problem with it also... We've all known for a long time that religions across the world have gone too far. A report commissioned by the Church last year said more than 4,000 US Roman Catholic priests had faced sexual abuse allegations in the last 50 years, in cases involving more than 10,000 children - mostly boys. We cannot allow this to continue! For the sake of reason, knowledge, science and decency, we must do something to stop these people.
Contact your local news media, your local paper, tv, radio, even the national press. We must get the word out that ordinary decent rational thinkers will not stand for delusional religious do-gooders getting away with this. The Pope himself, head of a supposedly peace-loving and caring church has openly defended pedophiles, and he is protecting people who molest innocent children and destroy their childhoods.
They cannot be allowed to hide behind their so-called beliefs any longer.

    WHAT A BUNCH OF HOGWASH. What you won’t hear in the media is that there are 5 TIMES more sexual abuses in Protestant churches than there are in the Catholic Church. School teachers are more likely to abuse their students than a priest. Parents are more likely to abuse their children.
    The secular world is full of so much hatred of the Catholic church that it can’t even clean its own eye first.

    The Vatican has enough money to completly pay off the national debt, end poverty & homeless but they don't they just build a bigger church!

      actually they use it to help a lot of people in my country for example which is a war torn country and is recetnly only talking about peace they build churches, refugee camps, and even bail peopel out of jail peole who have neen put in jail fo something as simple as .. selling alchohol which is illegal, but the catholic churche does do some good. let's not focus on all the fault and ignore all the good. But I do see your point, the whole pedephile prist thing is intolerable and i am very angry that the pope tolerates and even stands by it. but this pediphile problem didn't come because the churche is out there preching their prist saying to go and rape children it's competely against our believes. what they did they did on their own and they knew it was wrong. I think the only place the catholic churche went wrong is not punishing them for it .

    I hate them too. I believe in god... Sort of. But the church is stupid. They make more money than any business in the world... And not money to run the church, but profits that make

    I have always hated the Catholic Church. I have a minor in
    Theology. The Church has been corrupt since day 1. It made up. Celibacy was begun so that when men joined the priesthood, when they died, the Church would inherit their land. In Ireland girls that were pregnant went to the nuns for help. They had their babies and they were put in sweatshops and were kept like slaves. I admire Mother Teresa but she would make the poor in India become Catholic before she would help them. During WW II, the Pope delivered the Jews to the Nazis for extermination. I could go on and on. The birth control thing gets my goat too. They forbid Catholics in Africa to use condoms to prevent HIV.

    Yes is normal, but sexual abuse in not specifically on the catholic church, it happens on all deniominations of the church.

    Churches are run by human beings and human beings are imperfect, failable, and sinful. Don't hate God because of what humans have done in His name. God will judge those who use His name to justify their crimes most harshly.

    In my eyes, every religion serves as the substitutes for what humans could not explain thousands of years ago (when they all started). i.e.

    q: How was the moon made?

    a: (insert deity here) made it that way.

    it was because no other answer could be found with the knowledge and technology at the time, thus an answer was created and used for every question that was beyond human understanding (at the time) that is how gods and religions were created... its easy history.

    I'm also a minor in theology

    I'm what I like to call a fallen catholic. It's... whatever. I mean, I believe in god and all that jazz, but I don't wanna fricken sit in a boring ass room every Sunday. I actually told my mom I was an atheist so she wont make me go. So yes, this is normal.
