Is it normal to hate saying you're welcome ?

When I do something nice for someone or help someone out and they say 'thank you'. I'm always hesitant to say 'you're welcome'. I feel like to say " you're welcome" is rude. I'm very sincere when I do something for someone and I don't want anything back, so when they say 'thank you' I dont say anything back. Well, sometimes I might say " it was my pleasure" or "no problem". But never you'r welcome.

When I say thank you to someone and they say you're welcome back to me. It makes me feel like they have gone way out of their way to do something for me. Even if its a very small thing. Like their kindness needs to be acknowledged. Like "I" need to be reprimanded for it.
I just want to say to them.. nevermind then, I'll do it myself !Lol, is this rude ?"

Saying you're welcome makes me feel rude as well, so I voted this as normal =]

    Oh my gosh!!!!
I love saying "You're welcome." but I only say it to people who are kinda close to me. It makes me feel like they are welcome, you know? Lmao Like I welcome them......... Now I'm just sounding weird.....but I hope you get the point.

You should try saying "no problem" instead. :)
People might think you're a bit strange if they said thank you and you just walked away, but then again who cares what others think.

So much of our social interactions are fake! I HATE "Hi, how are you?" "I'm good and you?" "I'm great." Drives me crazy!

saying something is ok as long as you say no problem but if you didnt say anything then THAT would be rude. When people say your welocme I dont really think about the true meaning just that they are saying something polite sorta thanking me back

It makes me feel pretentious to be quite honest with you.

I normally just say no problem. I don't even expect "thank yous" unless it's genuinly something that they couldn't or would have much difficulty doing themselves. If it's something they they could have easily done themselves, I do not feel that I need to be thanked for being in the right place at the right time.

I prefer to say no problem. Just sounds less formal. I prefer not to be formal in my everyday life because being casual tends to put people at ease and I don't like to see people's butt cheeks clenched when they walk away.
